While Gary Filer Optometrist is a one-stop shop for eye care services, the attention we give each of our clients is individually tailored to suit your needs.

If you are worried about your vision or just want a peace-of-mind check up, make an appointment to come in and see us. Your visit will start with a comprehensive eye examination which includes careful screening for ocular and systemic disease. We use the latest technology in digital retinal photography, and computerised visual fields examinations.

As well as eye examinations, the other specialist services Gary Filer Optometrist offers are:

• Contact lenses – as contact lens specialists, we offer a wide service to patients from everything from daily wear contacts to progressive or monovision contacts, including an online ordering system with delivery for lenses and solutions.
• Spectacles and lenses – personalised frame selection from a wide range of frames with experienced staff who can advise you on the latest fashion trends.
• Diabetic Photo-Screening - this is a FREE service available in Manukau aimed at preventing vision loss and blindness (as well as other complications of diabetes).
• Eye Specialists - Dr Trevor Gray, an anterior eye and cataract specialist, and Dr Nick Mantell, a retina and cataract specialist, both run regular clinics at this practice. If you would like to see an Eye Specialist, and don't want to travel into the city, please contact the practice for more details.
• Shared Care - We work closely with Eye Specialists to provide follow-up care for patients who live or work in this area.
